The simple pleasures of a spinning pole

Work sucked today, or at least I thought it did. So for the entire morning I was in a pissy mood, just plain bummed out. Then I got my haircut

I always go to this place during my lunch hour its called clippers, or cutters, or something along those lines. I only get my hair cut like every 4 months, i get it all cut off then let it grow out, then repeat. The lady that works at clippers (cutters) remembers me for this fact, so I feel like a regular even though I only get my hair cut 3 or 4 times a year.
I really enjoy the outdated decore of the shop, the spining lopsided barbers pole and the fact that the barber shop is attached to a gas station. Sitting in the chair there is almost like a little vacation. I get to make small talk with Judy (the stylists) about her new puppy and all the troublesome adventures it gets into, Or her and her husbands weekend trips on their motorcycles. I sometimes need those kind of events to put things into perspective. I left the barber shop with a smile on my face and new refreshed view for the rest of my day. Although the rest of the afternoon still sucked.
